

Gladys was a long time volunteer for Thrivent, Ohio Agency on Aging Advisory Committee, Wyandot Council on Aging Board of Trustees and past president, Wyandot County Election Board, treasuer of the Antrim Township Fund Drive, active member and officer of St.

She then became a certified Bob Ross Instructor of Art. She and Gerald owned and operated Von Stein Catering for 37 years, and retired from both farming and catering in 1995. In her early years she worked for City Loan, Kimmel Cleaners, as a real estate agent, a secretary for Nevada schools and also as a secretary for the Nevada Grain Elevator. Gladys began farming with her husband Gerald after marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers: Floyd, Albert and Neal. Along with seven grandchildren, Stephanie Lamp, Rachel Chui-Koehler, Matthew Hahn, Sara Hahn, Courtney Murray, Erica Von Stein and Lauren Von Stein and two great grandsons, Drew and Mitchell Lamp. Emily (Jeff) Walton of Redmon, Oregon, Brenda (Andy) Koehler of Upper Sandusky, Diane (Mike Hahn) Von Stein of Cincinnati, Ohio and a son, Dr. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, and he passed away on September 20, 2013. She was a member of the United Way and a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan. She was a former volunteer for the Stars Grandparent Program in Meigs and Mason Counties.
